EMPOWERING
SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH
KNOWLEDGE
WASH CARE:
PLASTIC IN OUR
WATERS
The textile industry is one of the largest
contributor to microplastic pollution.
Textile production is estimated to be
responsible for about 20% of global clean
water pollution from dyeing and 昀椀nishing
products. A single laundry load of polyester
clothes can discharge 700,000 microplastic
昀椀bres that can end up in the food chain.
THINK BEFORE YOU WASH
It will take everyone. Manufacturers,
consumers, employees around the world play
a crucial role in helping to protect and restore
our oceans and seas.
There are a variety of actions that can be
taken, contributing to ocean conservation.
Here are some ways you can help save oceans
and protect life below earth.
TEXTILES TIPS :
• Using speci昀椀c laundry accessories and
adjusting washing habits
• Wash with cold water
• Wash fuller loads
• Consider a micro昀椀ber 昀椀lter
• Air dry clothing
• Use fewer cycles and less intensive spins
• Recycle or dispose of your plastic garments
in a responsible and safe manner

The Connection Between
Textiles and Marine
Biodiversity
Marine Restoration E昀昀orts:
• Our initiative envisages a textiles
industry that not only reduces its
environmental impact but also
restores ecosystems. By funding
Ecologi’s Delta Blue project in
Pakistan, we’ll remove 127 million
tCO2e over 60 years.
• Enhance biodiversity, and revitalise
coastal habitats. This supports
11 threatened species, including
the Indus river and Indian ocean
humpback dolphins.
A portion of pro昀椀ts from
every 1,000 eco products
will fund this project.
