1. Supporting Nature Conservation:
The facility supports the Nature Conservation
Society of Pakistan (NCSP), dedicated to preserving
the country’s natural heritage. Over 9,000 trees
have been planted, and local parks have been
restored to help mitigate the e昀昀ects of climate
change.

2. ISO 50001 Certi昀椀cation:
In 2023, the facility achieved ISO 50001:2008
certi昀椀cation, which helps organisations evaluate
and prioritise energy-e昀케cient technologies while
improving energy use, e昀케ciency, and consumption.

4. Sustainable Packaging:
The factory uses packaging materials that align
with SMI’s sustainability goals:
• 50% recycled content in GRS-certi昀椀ed polybags
for primary packaging.
• 100% recycled, FSC-certi昀椀ed corrugated boxes
for secondary packaging.
5. Carbon Reporting:
The facility has begun carbon reporting across
all three scopes, using an internal calculator. In
2023, the factory reported energy consumption of
1,175,873 kWh across all products (not just SMI’s).
