total carbon footprint since 2022, looking at our 2021
emissions as a 昀椀rst measurement.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:
1. Educate your team about scope reporting and
the 15 activities associated. Communicate with
members of the wider business who will need to
support you in your data collection.
2. Choose your reporting method, breaking down each
category across the 15 activities.
3. Contact your suppliers to get the relevant
informations, helping you to understand your supply
chain and gather the necessary product scope data
you will require.
Product Scope Data Needed:
• Country of manufacture for both product and
packaging.
• Inbound logistics - miles travelled from
manufacturer to distribution centre.
• Material of products – broken down into
percentages e.g. polo shirt – 50% cotton / 50%
polyester.
• Material breakdown used for the packaging.
• Weight of product and packaging.
4. Calculate the emissions associated with your
products and packaging.
5. Calculate your overall footprint including all scope
1, 2 and 3.
6. Identity your baseline and hot spot areas.
7. Start to build your reduction carbon action plan.
8. Set public reduction targets .
9. Report this to the relevant stakeholders.
10. You should annually measure and report on your
businesses scope emissions.
*We have not secured all data for every product as we
go through a high standard of checking. Therefore,
we will provide all data that we have on 昀椀le for your
relevant products.
