SMI: RESPONSIBLE SUSTAINABLE PARTNER STRATEGY 2025
SMI recognises that, as of 2025, not all of our business
partners have completed an Ecovadis rating. However,
to strengthen our RSPS and our overall ESG strategy,
we have set a target to have 60% of our business
partners complete Ecovadis ratings by 2028.
Phase Six focuses on documenting the Carbon Life
cycle Analysis (LCA) from cradle to grave. Supporting
SMI in facilitating a more sustainable approach to
product development and strategy across key phases,
including industry standard ISO 14040 and ISO 14044,
or the equivalents.

SMI has set a target to complete
LCA on 100% of our own brand
ROKWEAR products by the end
of 2026, and we are committed
to working with our business
partners to understand and record
LCA data on 70% of SMI’s product
o昀昀ering by 2028.
Phase Seven involves reviewing LCA data then looking
at the products and inbound packaging to SMI in
greater detail. We will work with our business partners
to lower the emissions associated with the materials,
packaging and logistics of all products supplied and/or
sourced by SMI.
Please refer to our Emission in Earth Reduction Report,
outlining SMI’s Carbon and Greenhouse Gas (GHG)
emissions reduction plan which supports our scope and
emissions targets set for 2030 and our net zero target
by 2050.
SUPPLIER SCREENING &
SELECTION
Establishing e昀昀ective and compliant partnerships with
a new supplier is crucial to the success of our RSPS.
Therefore we have created a streamlined supplier
onboarding process that incorporates our RSPS as an
initial assessment. This evaluates each new potential
supplier against various criteria including operational
capabilities, certi昀椀cations, adherence to ethical and
labour practices, compliance, 昀椀nancial stability, risk
assessments and environmental sustainability.
This is outlined in the relevant policies and procedures
including this document (RSPS).
