MODERN SLAVERY
Modern slavery in any form is unacceptable. As an
ethical and sustainable supplier, SMI is committed
to constantly monitored our value chain to ensures
we do not support any businesses involved in
human trafficking or modern slaving. Through
local partnerships, accreditations, and robust
auditing and monitoring processes to comply with
local legislation, protection of human rights, and
adherence to ethical principles. As part of our due
diligence procedures, our supplier approval process
incorporates a review of the controls undertaken by
the supplier to prevent modern slavery and human
trafficking. Directors and senior management are
responsible for providing adequate resources and
investment in training and other initiatives to ensure
that modern slavery and human trafficking do not
occur within the organisation and our supply chain.
