Rock fall are at the forefront of safety footwear,
focusing on their products cradle to grave journey
implementing innovative sustainable methods
along the way. This includes looking at the key
areas, product design, commercial operations, and
corporate social responsibility.
Rockfall have also taken steps to reduce their plastic
consumption, using as many as 12 recycled plastic
bottle polyester(rPET) in their safety boots.
Rockfall are part of a small group of footwear
manufacturers worldwide which source their
leather from Leather Working Group (LWG)
certified tanneries. It is estimated that only 20% of
footwear suppliers source from LWG a community
for responsible leather. There are currently 1800
businesses across the leather supply chain working
together to reduce their impact on the environment.
This platform has provided an opportunity to
educate and implement strategies and practices
improving the ecological footprint of the leather
supply chain. This industry has already witnessed
success, saving on average of 12.1 billion litres of
water a year and 775 megawatts of energy by LWG
rated manufactures.
